Girlhood is Manchester’s go-to community for women.
we host weekly events across fitness, creativity, culture and lifestyle - designed for women who want to meet new people, try new things, and genuinely enjoy themselves while doing it.
founded by four best friends who know firsthand that making friends as an adult isn’t always easy. we’ve been there - and Girlhood was created to change that.
Upcoming Events
Join us for an evening of creativity, connection and a little bit of magic ✨
Details:
📍 House of Social | M15 4ND
🗓Tuesday 16th June
⏰ Workshop begins 6:00pm
During the event, you'll collage your own tarot card design, guided by Studio Within, built within a tarot card frame you'll receive on arrival and take home at the end of the workshop.
You'll also enjoy a personal 4-card tarot reading with Rising Tarot. Each reading is centred around a question or area of your life you'd like guidance on, whether that's love, career, creativity or personal growth. Before your reading, we encourage you to think about where you'd like a little clarity, reassurance or insight.
Expect a relaxed evening of creating, reflecting and connecting with like-minded women!
Join us for a very special evening as we welcome author and journalist Jess Bacon to celebrate the launch of her debut non-fiction book, I'm Just a Girl.
In ‘I'm Just a Girl’, Jess introduces readers to the 'second girlhood', the extended adolescence that allows women to recover the part of ourselves we left behind.
Enjoy a live Q&A with Jess & a chance to ask your own questions, a book signing and meet other like minded book girlies.

Testimonals
“I moved to Manchester not knowing many people and honestly found it harder than I expected to make proper friends. I came across Girlhood on Instagram and booked onto an event on a bit of a whim and I’m so glad I did!
Everyone was so welcoming and it didn’t feel forced or awkward at all. I ended up meeting a group of girls I instantly clicked with, and now they’re genuinely my closest friends. We do everything together, from weeknight dinners to last-minute plans, and it’s made the city feel like home in a way it never did before.”

“Joining Girlhood genuinely changed my life. I went to my first event not knowing a single person and was so nervous, but within minutes I felt comfortable.
Fast forward a year and the girls I met that day are now my closest friends - we speak every day, go on holiday together, and have been there for each other through everything. Two of them are even going to be my bridesmaids next year, which still feels surreal considering we were once complete strangers.
If you’re even thinking about going to an event, just do it, it might end up being the best thing you ever do!!”
